Burnout, as well as depression, can both be understood as an unconscious refusal to continue in life as we did before. We want to go on, but our subconscious won't let us. The background of this refusal is the deep belief that nothing will change, despite all effort that we put in. Depression clients lack the experience of competence that their actions and decisions determine how they feel. They rather have the impression that no matter what they does, it does not achieve anything.Hypnosis therapy can help clients to experience their competence and their self-efficacy. With hypnotherapy we are not only able to resolve negative emotions, we also can create positive resources.
